The most common food crimes are the following: food in a poor state of conservation; commercial fraud ; sale of industrial products with misleading signs; offenses related to products which, following sampling by supervisory bodies, result having microbiological levels exceeding the permitted limits; parasites; pesticides that exceed the limits; additives that are not permitted or that exceed the quantities permitted for certain foods; foods otherwise harmful or otherwise unsuitable for consumption;  crimes related to involuntary food poisoning in the catering sector, etc.
